Halle (Saale) lies in the heart of Germany in the south of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. It is accessible by road, rail and air. Halle-Leipzig Airport is a mere 20 minutes by train from the city centre. A range of flights are offered from and to European destinations as well as national flights to the major airports in Frankfurt and Munich.

Travel by car:
From the north: east-west connections to Magdeburg, then A14 to Halle and Leipzig.
From the south: A9 toward Munich and Berlin.

Travel by air:
Halle-Leipzig Airport has some international connections and a range of feeder-flights to the major german airports. Intercontinental travel is mainly routed via the airports in Frankfurt am Main or Munich.

Travel by rail:
Rail connections are available from the main station to all destinations within Germany. Both Berlin Airports have railway connections to Halle, Tegel via a bus link to Zoo station, Schönefeld via the adjacent railway station.
